Album Review
Released after the phenomenal success of Pearl Jam, "Mother Love Bone" collects everything Mother Love Bone ever released. Their resurrection of the epic hard rock of the 1970s was quite good, but also derivative. While Wood was a fine singer, he wasn't a very original vocalist and often sounded very similar to Robert Plant. "Mother Love Bone" is the definitive collection of the band and worth the time of fans of Pearl Jam and the Seattle scene. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
