Album Review
In a time when Christian artists were falling into a rut of releasing live albums strictly as contract filler, "My Soul Sings" rose above the status quo to offer a generous career-spanning glimpse into Delirious' passionate worship rock. Generous in both quantity and quality, Martin Smith's UK-based rock outfit includes no less than 14 tracks on this live CD/DVD set. The performance was recorded in front of 12,000 fans in Bogota, Columbia, a fitting locale considering the band's renewed focus on social justice and the fight against poverty. Without an undue emphasis on their most recent material, the audio disc includes standout tracks from "Kingdom of Comfort" but equally balances some of their oldest and most timeless classics: Deeper, Bliss, Rain Down, and many others.
