Album Review
"The Best of Tom Jones" is a comprehensive collection of his greatest hits that supplants "The Complete Tom Jones" as being the definitive CD-era hits collection. Running 22 tracks where "The Complete" only featured 20, the disc contains everyone of Jones' classic singles, from "It'S Not Unusual," "What'S New Pussycat," "Thunderball," "Deliah," and "She'S A Lady" to "Kiss." Even though this features the cream of the crop, there are a few weak moments here and there -- Tom Jones wasn't exactly a consistent artist -- but there's no denying that this is the pick for casual fans. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
