Album Review
Presented here are a dozen sizzling ballads from the mighty Stephanie Mills, one of the '90s finest female vocalists. MCA Records makes sure Ms. Dynamo's reputation carries into the millennium with this emotionally charged set which includes her roasting rendition of Peabo Bryson's "Feel The Fire" and the gospel-ish "Power Of Love." While you can't quibble with the inclusions, there are some glaring omissions: namely "If I Was Your Woman," "You'Re Puttin' A Rush On Me," and "Something In The Way (You Make Me Feel)." Crowd pleasers which Mills still performs live, these were all recorded on MCA. The exclusion of her 20th century ballads is understandable since this is an MCA release, but to leave off the three essentials is a compilation felony. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
