Album Review
The third time's a charm for the delightful Sara Evans. Bound to make her a household name, "Born to Fly" is, simply put, a great album. Whether it's her new mom status, or the fact that she co-produced for the first time and had a hand in writing six of the album's 11 enjoyable songs, Evans' confidence radiates in each and every song, from the playful title track "Born To Fly" to the unbreakable spirit of "I Learned That From You" about a love gone wrong even though they tried to make it work. She puts her own spin on distinguished renditions of Edwin McCain's "I Could Not Ask For More" and Bruce Hornsby's "Every Little Kiss." What must have added to her confidence was having her family (sister Ashley, sister Lesley, sister-in-law Melody) sing background vocals on some songs and brother Matt playing bass.
