Album Review
"20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: Motown 70s, Vol.1" collects a dozen of Motown's most distinctive tracks from the '70s, including Marvin Gaye's "Let'S Get It On," Smokey Robinson & the Miracles' "Tears Of A Clown," the Jackson 5's "The Love You Save," and the Temptations' "Papa Was A Rolling Stone." Songs by the Supremes, the Commodores, and Eddie Kendricks round out the collection. Motown diehards will probably find some of the album's selections too obvious, but it's still a solid choice for someone who wants the label's biggest hits in one convenient package. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
