Album Review
Under the leadership of Joe Pace, the award-winning Colorado Mass Choir has become a favorite with gospel music fans through such popular songs as "So Good," "I Still Have Joy," "Watch God Move," and the contemporary rocker "Stir Up The Gift." After a two-year break between record labels, Pace and the choir return with the 2001 release "Glad About It" on the Integrity Music label. Embodied within the concept of this musical setting is a nice mix of traditional and contemporary gospel tracks. Songs of note include the jazz-flavored "This Joy" and the beautifully arranged "Worship Medley," which includes worship-oriented songs such as "Praise Jehovah," "Total Praise," "Oh Lord We Praise Your Name," "Psalm 117," "Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord," and "For Every Mountain." These talented vocalists lay it all out on the table on the rocking title track, "Glad About It," which features a soul-shaking vocal performance from special guest LaShun Pace. ~ Tim A.
