Album Review
An overcooked, over-produced re-recording by Lee Greenwood of his classic "God Bless The U.S.A." starts off "Patriotic Country", but thankfully it's not indicative of this compilation as a whole. "Patriotic Country" is unabashedly that: 18 of country music's most celebrated artists paying homage to America in various fashions. At times it borders on overly jingoistic and sneeringly xenophobic, but those seeking an inspirational tome reflecting the heartland of American values need look no further than here. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
