Album Review
"Lost & Found in the Seventies: Disco" is a 12-track compilation of songs that were never lost to begin with. Even sillier: the phrase "Songs You Never Forget" appears on the cover. So, if you've never forgotten the songs, how can they be lost and then found? Were they literally misplaced? Of course not. At any rate, this is a decent compilation that recycles many of the disco hits you've seen -- and might even own -- on several other discs. Lipps Inc.'s "Funkytown," A Taste of Honey's "Boogie Oogie Oogie," Tavares' "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel," Van McCoy's "The Hustle," and Blondie's "Heart Of Glass," along with a handful of other big singles that are just as known and unforgotten, are all part of the program. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
