Album Review
Toots & the Maytals' "The Very Best Of" collects the highlights of their three-decade career, including '60s songs like "Broadway Jungle," "54-46 Was My Number," "Do The Reggay," and "Pressure Drop"; '70s tracks like "Funky Kingston" and "Reggae Got Soul"; and '80s solo work from Toots Hibbert, including "(I'Ve Got) Dreams To Remember" and "Peace, Perfect Peace." Though it isn't the most comprehensive anthology of the Maytals available, this 19-track compilation provides a decent overview of some of the group's most important moments. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
