Jody Watley got her start as a dancer on the TV show "Soul Train". From 1977 to 1984, she was a singer in the group Shalamar. Her debut solo album, "Jody Watley" (1987), sold a million copies and produced three Top Ten hits -- "Looking For A New Love," "Don'T You Want Me," and "Some Kind Of Lover." As a result of its success, Watley won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist of 1987. Her second album, "Larger than Life" (1989), went gold and contained the number two pop hit "Real Love" as well as the Top Tens "Friends" and "Everything." "You Wanna Dance
